Death League Update: Patrick Swayze

Patrick Swayze was not the greatest actor of his generation. However, that didn't stop him from giving us a number of characters that will live on forever. Most notably he'll be remembered for his roles in Ghost, opposite Demi Moore and the always-handsome Whoopi Goldberg, and Dirty Dancing. But before he pulled Jennifer Grey out of the corner, they were defending Colorado against invading Cuban & Soviet forces in Red Dawn. He also played the wise older brother in The Outsiders, the best damn cooler in the land in Road House, and a skydiving/surfing bank-robber in Point Break. The list goes on.

Let us also not forget that without him, there would be no Chippendales sketch. And then where would we be?

Take the biggest guy in the world,
shatter his knee and he'll drop like a stone.

Unfortunately we lost him last night to a short battle to a terribly aggressive pancreatic cancer. He was 57.

Vaya con Dios, Brah.

And now for a quick look at the standings...
