Thunder in the Heartland

Well it looks like Mr. Murton will be spending some time in the good ol' Hawkeye State for a while. The Cubs have sent him down to AAA and brought up pitcher Clay Rapada.

Honestly I'm not shocked, and I'm really not that upset. They have a logjam of outfielders and Thunder Matt still had options left. This will ensure that he gets regular playing time, and hopefully he can get his bat going as well as maybe work on his defense a little bit. It's certainly not how I envisioned his season going, but it's better than rotting on the bench for the meantime.

Now let's just hope this Rapada guy can help this floundering bullpen.
